À propos du livre
Like some surreal, storybook setting, the Smoky Mountains live up to their name in this second collection of the author’s photography, which is focused exclusively on landscapes in fog. Illuminated by artificial lights, the moon, and the rising sun, the pictures carry the viewer through a visual experience of East Tennessee from the pre-dawn hours, through sunrise, and into the later morning.

À propos du créateur
Kit Gentry
Townsend, TN
Originally from Michigan, I’m a visual artist primarily focused on painting and drawing. I lived on the Hawaiian island of Maui for 16 years and began my career as an artist there, but relocated to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee in 2009. Since then, I’ve worked to create a portfolio of landscape photography, with the intention of producing the books featured here. My camera work often compels me to be on the road well before sunrise in search of the fogbound settings to be seen in the earliest hours of the morning - I’ve missed a lot of sleep that way, but I hope you’ll find the results to have been worth the effort.
