JACK ERNEST STAUB's collection of 17 poems were written between 2005 to 2019. Jack spent his life being a writer, botanist, husband, father, and an observer of human nature. Always curious about how people lived and how things take root and grow, Jack would engage others in a series of questions while listening intently, which became known as “the interview.” This information served as inspiration, coupled with Jack’s love of words, to produce this book of thoughtful, poignant, and moving poetry.
The illustrations in this book are watercolor paintings by Peter Simpson Cook and are expressions of conceptual themes from the natural world of plants, earth, light and water.
This volume includes an introduction by Frances C Staub with a tribute by Kodie Ann Staub, and a biography and photographs from Jack's life.
