À propos du livre
As humans, remembering is in our nature: we like creating a sense of permanence, and find ways to immortalize the things that we care about the most. In the old days, artists sat in front of their subjects and transferred their likeness to paper—a pencil sketch, or maybe with paint or ink. Today, a quicker approach is to use a camera: point, shoot, and keep with you an exact capture of this moment in time. Whatever the medium, images like these serve a similar purpose: to turn the fleeting into something more tangible, and find permanence in what was once short-lived.
Whether by camera or by pencil, the results are snapshots of a life lived in flux.
