The author graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and the Naval Nuclear Power School. His service included a 3-year assignment on the fast attack submarine USS Sculpin (SSN 590). For the past 26 years he has worked as an instructor at the South Hills School of Business & Technology in the Engineering Technology Department. This book was the culmination of volunteer research done for the Pennsylvania Military Museum in State College, PA.
