À propos du livre
When I first moved to the New York metropolitan area, the art world opened up to me in a big way. I’d rented an apartment in a new glass tower in Newport, right next to the Hoboken train station, with sweeping waterfront views of Manhattan. At night the city skyline presented an ever-changing light show — I fell in love with the City, its non-stop energy, and museums. Before long, I was a member of MoMA, The Guggenheim, and The Whitney. Every weekend my husband and I took the Path train to see a different exhibition, and when I got home, I'd rush to render my interpretation of the show, inspired by what I'd just seen, though using my own photos and artwork. Aficionada is a collection of those works.

À propos du créateur
Marina Preston
South Orange, NJ
Marina has always loved print, holding a book or a magazine in her hands, the sight of compelling images, the smell of ink, the texture of paper — so much so that she spent years working as a designer and art director in the publishing industry. As the line between work and play thinned, she began spending most of her free time on creative projects involving both visual + verbal content, examples of which you may find below.
