À propos du livre
Personally, I lost a number of friends and relatives during the last two years (not all necessarily from Covid). Naturally, these individuals came to mind when writing these poems. Therefore, I'd like to dedicate this book to the many who lost their lives during the Covid-19 epidemic, the ones I knew, and the ones I did not.
The photographs, art work, and design were all created by me, and hopefully bring a cohesiveness to the book as a whole. My essential goal is to draw the reader into this alternative, poetic space.

À propos du créateur
Frank Martinez was born in New Orleans and began his musical and artistic career there. It was a very special place and, as a culture, nurtured these characteristics. He later studied the guitar in Madrid and Santiago de Compostela, Spain in Segovia masterclasses in 1973 and went on to receive his Masters degree from USC. He also studied music composition with Louis Andriessen at the Royal Conservatory of Music in the Netherlands. He has performed extensively for nearly 50 years and has written works for guitar, exotic instruments, orchestra, and smaller ensembles. He is a multi-instrumentalist and has been interested in the music from many world cultures since the 1970’s. One of his specialties is performing on the Native American flute, of which he has a large collection. He collects many other various “exotic” musical instruments as well. His focus has also been in poetry, the visual arts, and photography. The books serve as an archive and visual depository of his many works.
