Hi, my name is Anika Lacerte (she/her) and I am the artist and creator of The Handcrafted Story. I am an illustrator and surface pattern designer based near Victoria, BC, Canada. In my work, I want to create meaningful, encouraging messages. I use simple, hand-drawn shapes and clean lines. My ideal projects include surface pattern design, hand lettering, and greeting cards. I have been drawing every day since 2016. I am currently drawing on photos in the Procreate App. You can see what that looks like on Instagram @TheHandcraftedStory, and learn how to do it yourself in my video class. Sometimes I turn the drawings into repeat patterns.
