Mr. Robert's Madagascar: A Tale of a Lost World is a story of exploring an unknown land—Madagascar—discovered on August 10, 1500, by Portuguese explorer Diogo Dias and his crew when blown off course. Through the purported lost ship logbook of Diogo Dias, young readers investigate the southeastern Madagascar beach and lowland rainforest habitats to detect some of the exotic plants and animals endemic to that ecosystem. This Wilderness Habitat Discovery Journal blends history, physical and natural science, and reading comprehension into an informative story. It is one of a book series describing wildlife habitats around the world.
