À propos du livre
La Semana Del Asesino, translating to The Week of the Killer, also known as The Cannibal Man, as well as The Apartment on the 13th Floor, is a 1972 Spanish horror film written and directed by Eloy de la Iglesia, with additional writing from Antonio Fos. It was released during what has come to be known as the Golden Age of Spanish Horror and, while it flew under the radar for many years, distribution from Anchor Bay, Blue Underground, and most recently, Severin, has introduced this wonderful film to a whole new generation of horror fans. The film is best known for being featured on the British Director of Public Prosecutions' list of "Video Nasties", a spot which I would hardly call earned. Those who sought it out under this pretense were undoubtedly disappointed to realize that the most grotesque scene in a film with as provocative a title as Cannibal Man, was footage of routine animal slaughter. Nevertheless, while La Semana Del Asesino doesn't deliver the gore that it’s alternative title promises, it is undoubtedly one of the greatest and most fearless films of the time.
