À propos du livre
This is the whimsical tale of a hard working and hard partying landscaping company in Lakewood, Colorado. The work was tough but the job but had fringe benefits. It was an upscale neighborhood and a lot of young ladies sunning themselves would lounge around the pools. The name of the company was Centennial Landscaping. There were only three employees. We mowed a lot of lawns. We wore sunglasses so we could ogle all of the teenyboppers. The summer of 1990 cruised by. At the end of the year our boss gave us gifts of gratitude. As fall approached I decided to go back to school. I would always cherish my days as a hard working Centennial Landscaping employee.

I am a 55 year old white male. I spend my time playing golf, gardening, and plunking away on my guitar. Publishing and distributing a book is a dream come true. "Soldiers of the Grass" was a rewarding foray into the gritty world of the landscaper. The homeowners were so grateful when they saw us coming up the street with our mowers in tow. I met so many people with beautiful lawns. We also installed lawns which involved rock work, sprinklers and sod work. As the summer started to fade, I decided to go back to school. I'll never forget my days as a landscaper.
