À propos du livre
To celebrate ten years with Contemporary Fine Arts Gallery, ten diverse seascapes inspired by travels to the Pacific Northwest, the Eastern Seaboard, and our own SoCal beaches have been created for the seascape show, Oceanic. Selectively adding in the various seascape paintings that have been displayed at Contemporary Fine Arts Gallery over the years.
As we settle into the blissful summer days of July and look forward to August, this collection of new views of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans evokes seaside impressions from the past and brings them consciously into an appreciative present. These images invoke that first whiff of salty sea air, the anticipated glimpse of the surf, the sweet sounds of laughter, waves crashing, seagulls calling, sea grass whispering—all the poignant stuff of summer memories. Tensions naturally ease and melt away as the view of the horizon relaxes and resets one’s equilibrium.
Masterfully melding memories, dreams, and images of the coast, while conjuring up deeply textured, subtly colored paintings using oil, wax, and customized palette knives. Enjoy. Relax. Breathe.
