À propos du livre
“TERRA and COSMOS” is a collaboration of serenity of the Earth and the sublime of the Cosmos, infused with the intention to revitalize self-reflection and humility.
Exhibiting photographs taken over the years of traveling to different parts of the world, this series pays homage to “Pale Blue Dot”, taken by Voyager 1 on February 14, 1990, as it left the solar system. Earth represented as a tiny lonely dot in the vastness of the cosmos emphasizes the fragility and uniqueness of our home planet.
NASA referred to this as humanity’s first family portrait, and it served as a reminder to reflect upon ourselves.
May this photographic series do so as well. We have to be outside of where we are to see ourselves properly.
Take a breath and truly observe, both up close and from afar, the land we stand on, the people around us, the distant mountains and seas, the clouds and stars above them, the sun that illuminates our day and the moon that reflects that light for our night.
