Khentopia is a peaceful society on the planet Zeeray, where chanting at the Harmony Center creates ethereal energy that powers a protective shield around the planet. One of the chanters is Lheandor Tamarindh.

However, danger is near. The crew of the raider ship Space Wolf plans to disrupt the chanting to break the shield. Their scheme works, leading to a disastrous event during Lheandor's chanting shift, resulting in massive destruction.

Lheandor disappears from his peaceful home and wakes up in a dark, threatening world where he is blamed for sabotage. In this alternate Khentopia, he finds refuge and a new life in the secluded settlement of Zonderstad with his girlfriend Constance.

Five years later, his life is disrupted again when he discovers a dangerous project that could destroy his original Khentopia. To prevent this disaster, Lheandor must use all his creativity and determination as he and his fellow-travelers embark on a risky journey filled with unknown threats and challenges, in a race against time.
