This book is a selection from the Mercy Corps photo library, curated for our global headquarters which opened on October 9, 2009, in Portland, Oregon.



Over the course of 30 years, we have worked in dozens of countries and brought back thousands of pictures. Many of these photographs were taken by our own team while traveling on field assignment. Others were shot by professionals. With the immediacy that's unique to the visual medium, they tell the powerful stories of hope in the face of hardship.
