À propos du livre
Beginning in 1999, sculptor Brian Russell began experimenting with the ancient technique of cire perdue, or lost wax casting, traditionally a method of casting metal. During a visit to New Zealand, Russell happened upon a group of artists using the lost wax method to cast with a special crystal produced in Auckland. Applying his metalworking skills and practical background with his vision of art as beauty, he has developed a unique style that celebrates light, color, line and form. The results of ten years of his explorations, documented here, spectacularly demonstrate the power of perseverance and the true spirit of the creative mind.
