Anni Adkins creates large scale landscape and contemporary flower paintings, artworks in oil paint that virtually defy characterization as either realism or abstraction. She paints her subjects realistically, but up close and out of context. The results are a stunning interpretation of natural beauty and harmony in nature. Anni Adkins received formal art training at L'Ecole De Beaux Arts in France and has been painting for 40 years. She has been exhibiting her work and selling to collectors world wide. She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico and devotes her time chasing the light throughout the Southwest, painting her new series, "Desert Flowers and Canyon Walls."
