À propos du livre
In February 2009 he was privileged to spend an intensive week photographing Carnival in Venice Italy. This volume, "Faces of Carnival", documents the vast array of costumes which can be seen during this celebration. It is also representative of some of the special places in Venice which are a photographer's delight. In particular many of these images are taken in and around San Marco Square and the waterfront. Photographs in the second half of the book were taken exclusively on the nearby island of Burano. Please enjoy them all.

À propos du créateur
James Johnson is a free-lance photographer specializing in world-view fine art photography. He has traveled extensively which has allowed him to experience not only unique cultures but also areas of natural beauty throughout the world. Using his camera as his window to this world he has used it to interpret and express his vision and feelings in his own unique way. His photography is substantially an introspective pursuit which continuously redefines who and what he is as well as his place in the world. Working in both color and back-and-white, his images tell stories which capture a unique sense of place, a defining moment, a life experience or a portrait of natural beauty. He uses the simplest possible compositions in portraying a point of view which he feels uniquely expresses his interpretation of the scene before him in an artistic manner. Please enjoy viewing his books on this site as well as visiting his website, www.fineartofphotography.com for additional works.
