À propos du livre
Photographer Douglas Kurn undertook an ambitious personal project to photograph a different person everyday throughout February in 2010. Each subject had to be a local person, in their own environment, and Douglas chose to use only available light for each portrait, despite some of the shots having to be taken at night.
He started on February 1st with nobody lined up and so had to roam the streets looking for willing volunteers. There were a couple of near misses, but Douglas succeeded in his aim. This book is the result.
During this project Douglas met some interesting people and plenty of real characters. Some of the portraits are accompanied by quotes from the subjects that stayed with him.
