Opening the cover of July’s Jazz Journal my eye was drawn to a quarter page advert announcing a modern jazz festival featuring the cream of British modern jazz at Titley Junction in Herefordshire. David Masters had pulled together a programme that looked rather enticing, Stan and Clark Tracey, Peter King, Alan Barnes, Art Themen, Don Weller, David Newton, Dave O’Higgins and a host of other Brit jazzers.



The photographs on the following pages are my record of the atmosphere and excitement of what will hopefully become an annual event in the British Jazz calendar.
