À propos du livre
The intent of this book is to bring families and friends together for a ten day project of cooking and sharing meals around a table set with an empty chair. The book contains recipes that are so easy to prepare, even children will enjoy getting involved in being a part of the experience. In addition, each recipe contained within the book shows a picture and gives the name of a real orphan to be prayed for and honored at the family meal; the empty chair is placed at the table to represent that little life. Throughout the ten day commitment of cooking food together as a family, enjoying sweet fellowship, and making prayer for the orphans a priority, each participant will hopefully become more acutely aware of the orphan crisis. And where there is awareness, change will happen. You will be amazed to find how thankful your family will become when faced with the horrible realization that others around the world lack so very much in comparison. In that moment of gratitude, may each srive to reach out a hand to those Jesus refers to as "the least of these".
$2.00 profit has been added to the cost of each book. ALL proceeds will be sent to Reece's Rainbow for the adoption fund of Carlene, the little girl on the cover of the book. Carlene has Down Syndrome and is a 5 year old orphan living in Russia. She is facing being removed from the orphanage and sent to a mental institution where she will be tied to a bed for the remainder of her life and never touched by human hands again.
There are families who are anxious to adopt Carlene, but they lack the money that is required for an international adoption. My family plans to save Carlene! Will you purchase a copy of this book and be a part of saving a life?

À propos du créateur

I have five children, Caleb (biological), Lydia (biological), Natalie (adopted from Russia and has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome), Hope (biological and has Down Syndrome), and Charlie (adopted domestically and has Down Syndrome). My husband, Chappy, and I are advocates for the special needs and international adoption communities, and actively support many organizations that share our ideals. The proceeds from this book will fund two ministries: Reece's Rainbow and Amazima Ministries. Thank you for joining me in raising awareness and support for these outstanding ministry efforts that reach "the least of these". In doing so, you are the hands and feet of Christ!
