À propos du livre
Nature photography offers challenges continuously.
You need to stand still for hours, and next second run like a madman. You need to watch trees, bushes, ground, rocks, sky. You need to recognize interesting landscapes, shapes, patterns. You need to see what is happening in the distance and right under your feet.
You need to crawl in mud, force your way through thick bushes, ignore insects biting you and crawling under your clothes, and stay long periods of time in uncomfortable positions.
You also need to know how to make bad conditions work for you. You need to find optimal positions fast in order to get the best possible angles for your shots. And when it is time to take the photo, you need to adjust your camera settings quickly to get the best possible shot of a situation that might last less than a second.
In all of this, you fail constantly.
But not always.
This book presents over 80 of my favorite nature photos from 2010, all taken in Finland. I also comment on each photo, explaining ideas behind the photos and methods I use.
