À propos du livre
This book offers an interpretation of Venice in words and pictures. First is an interpretation of the city's history and culture through a journal kept during a visit by the author with his family. Second is a short novel that tells the story of Antonio, a failed artist who earns his living as a gondolier. Both works evoke the city's past, its shimmering canals, and Venice's uncertain future. Both are accompanied by artistic photographs that capture the beauty of this fragile city.
