À propos du livre
The penultimate volume in my Around Britain series, the Isle of Man gets a book to itself. Five visits were made here from a day trip in 1970, a few days in 1972, and weeks in 1971, 1976 & 1979.
The last stay was to discover that the Douglas Corporation and Isle of man Road Services had merged to become National Transport and that not only my favourite Regents but the Corporation livery had gone too!
This book covers mostly the earlier '70s look .

À propos du créateur
David Christie
Foulden. near Berwick-upon-Tweed, - Scotland.(just!)
Originally from Romford, Essex where I travelled all over GB photographing railways (from 1962) and buses(from 1967). I moved up to Scotland in 1973 where I continued to record but now mainly preserved transport. The occasional trip south to see my favourite Bluebell railway and others was enjoyed. My main occupation upon moving north was for some time chasing A4 No.60009 'Union of South Africa' on its many railtours. Visits were also made to the Settle & Carlisle and on many occasions to the West Highland line. Most books produced from Alloa but from Jul'13 moved to near Berwick-upon-Tweed only 1/2 mile into Scotland.
