The poems take a word, a thought, a chance encounter, an image; and create personal stories.

The poems have weight, depth and reveal endless transitions.

These youth are often alone.

They want only what all their peers want: security, respect, opportunity and love.

The images of the youth in the book add an additional layer to the impact

of their poetry.
