À propos du livre
The collected plays of Robert A. Parker explore worlds beyond the reality of earthly life. These plays reach into the spiritual world, into different cultural worlds, and into the private worlds we all inhabit.
The people you will meet here discover themselves through unexpected death, unsuspected love, and family relationships that we all too often take for granted. Solidly middle-class characters, they deal with personal secrets as well as scandal and confession, adoption and abortion.
Here are people in constant struggle against the evil we all at times succumb to. Meet Billy, who resents his mother's suffering; Sarah, who resents her father's life; and Steve, who resents God. Meet Trish and Maria Teresa, who want to escape their family; and Hal, who wants to escape his responsibility. These are the people next door you never got to knew, as well as people who live a life that might have been your own.
