This is not the usual travel book. Rather, it tries to answer the question "Why are people from all over the world attracted to Italy and the Italian zest for life?"



I explore the work of many writers, both Italian and foreigners who have lived in Italy, and add my own experiences and observations.



I look at Italy through the frame of eight key areas, which include language, street life, eating Italian, and style, to try to answer the question. Each area is illustrated with photos taken in Italy across a ten year period.
