This book describes how my fellow tertiary students and I wove "maro" as part of our induction to our course of study at Te Wānanga-o-Raukawa in Ōtaki, New Zealand early in 2011.

Through the learning and the actual activity, it brought us all closer together in learning about not only how to weave and plait, but realising our own potential to fulfill something meaningful and to also have fun in the process.
