À propos du livre
Traditional macro photography methods have no place in my process, I use desktop scanners and occasionally a supplemental light source.
This book includes my favorite object scans: bones, feathers, plant materials and metal shavings. I see something in all of them.

À propos du créateur
Michael e. Stern began creating commercial photography for private businesses, Fortune 500 companies, international corporations and public agencies in 1979. He started teaching in 1987 and helped students at several California community colleges, Art Center College of Design, Brooks Institute and the Los Angeles Center for Photography. His “Build A Better Photograph, A Disciplined Approach to Creativity” was published in 2009 and had an impressive 8-week stint on Amazon’s best seller list. Michael began accepting commissions for time-lapse films in 2011 and produced 50+ construction and demolition time-lapse films, while also contributing to the idea of shooting time-lapse films as cinematic film stories with moving cameras, daily short-term camera units, sound effects, music and live-action video. He stopped accepting commercial shoots in 2022 and focused his energy into developing a fine art photography practice.Transcendent is his second book, Remnants was the first.
