I have always enjoyed drawing and often take on freelance illustration jobs in my spare time. I grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona and now reside in Austin, Texas. I enjoy mothering our four year old son and have another on the way. I help my husband with our landscape design business in addition to doing my artwork. During the second half of the 80's I studied fine arts, with an emphasis in Fiber Arts at the Cleveland Institute of Art. I did graduate work at Parsons School of Design in New York City studying Retail Design. Since then I have (professionally) worn many creative hats! and now about my collaborator HONEY MINSHEW! Honey and I met through my husband Jason. Honey is Jason's aunt and resides in Sherman, Texas with her husband Robert. She has two children, Marshall and Monica and two wonderful grandchildren Emma and Henry. She is a retired decorator and shop keeper and is immensely creative. Turkey Hearts and Whipped Cream is her first children's book.
