The Republic of South Africa is a country of immense beauty and diversity with many wonderful sights to be seen. Located at the southern tip of Africa, it is divided into nine provinces, with coastline on the Atlantic and Indian oceans.
This book is the result of a photographers journey starting in Johannesburg and traveling through Mpumalanga, Swaziland and KwaZulu-Natal to the coastal Garden Route in Eastern Cape and onto Cape Town and it's surrounds. Many of the wonderful and well known sights have been photographed along with less well noticed subjects. A particular interest of mine is the flora of South Africa, usually referred to as fynbos, and this was photographed along with other wildlife subjects whenever an opportunity arose.
To me the beautiful jacaranda tree picture on the front cover of the book epitomises the beauty of South Africa.
