À propos du livre
SAILING IN THE AEGEAN SEA
This book is a collection of photos made during a sailing trip in the Aegean Sea, between the Turkish south coast and the Dodecanese Greek islands, in august 2007.
The six Portuguese elements of the crew were, beyond the three authors of this book, three fantastic friends – Carmen and João Pereira and Telmo Santos.
The boat was excellent – she was a very comfortable forty feet Bénéteau Océanis.
We have sailed about 160 nautical miles, generally with gentle sailing conditions, in less than 7 days, and used the motor only for berthing or anchoring. The normal wind is the meltemi , which blows from the NW - WNW in open waters. The coastline has wonderful green stretches and beautiful gulfs and bays where we could swim in transparent and warm sea water.
To visit the Greek island of Symi was an extraordinary experience including a dinner at the restaurant MANOS.
