À propos du livre
Unlike most photographers focused on scenes of combat and conflict, Dale focuses on the ordinary - living in a 45 man tent, celebrating holidays, and the worst attack on Bagram Air Field.
Stationed on Camp Sabalu-Harrison which at the time was 4 miles away from Afghanistan's most important air base in Parwan Province, Dale kept his camera rolling to deliver stunning images of a world a world away.

À propos du créateur
Born in 1984 in Denver, Colorado Jeffrey Dale grew up off and on in Louisville, Colorado; spending middle school in Yokohama, Japan. After joining the US Army in 2002 he would eventually be stationed around the world in places such as Korea, Afghanistan, and Haiti. In 2007 he was inspired by a close friend to return to school. When he returned to Colorado he moved to Ft. Collins and began schooling where he discovered his passion for art and photography at Colorado State University. In 2010 at the rank of Sergeant, Dale deployed to Afghanistan as part of the Global War on Terror - not as a photojournalist but rather as an IT Systems Specialist. Just like art found him, so too did documenting the journey of Afghanistan. While in Afghanistan, Dale also worked as first the Photo Editor and later as Assistant Editor for "The Mountain" magazine. Currently Jeffrey resides in Windsor, Colorado, with his wife Jaime and son Elijah. He has a BFA in 2 concentrations from CSU.
