À propos du livre
In 1971 Camosun College opened its doors to 980 + students. Greeting them were 59 instructors.
In 1996, Camosun had over 7,000 credit and more than 12,000 non credit students. Still around to help were 27 of the original instructors.
My initial intention was to mount an exhibition of photographs, but I encountered that typical obstacle, money. Mounting, matting and framing 54 photographs was beyond my means, and securing a location proved difficult, so I put the project on hold.
Digital technology, in these intervening 10 years, has made some striking advances in imaging and reproduction. What developed is the Print-On-Demand publishing option, which allows the printing of small quantities of books, as required. The nature of this project fits quite nicely into this concept.

À propos du créateur
Raymond St Arnaud
Victoria, BC, Canada
The world presents itself and I observe. There are times the observation becomes an obsession. Sometimes, a casual encounter. These moments become the photographs I interpret by exaggeration or simplification. I have been an exhibitor since 1969; exhibiting photographs, painting and prints through 150 exhibitions, primarily in US university, college, and community galleries in 31 American States; in BC, Alberta, Ontario and in web galleries in Canada, Australia, China, Thailand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Italy and the United States. I now publish books of current and past projects as a means of closure and completion. Born and educated in Alberta, I moved to the coast in 1984, and have been living in Victoria since 1986. .
