Either Brigands or Emigrants
Although the imperative alternative “either brigands or emigrants” may sound troublesome or upsetting, it is the very fusion of these two forced choices which can contribute to a better understanding of the causes for both phenomena, their influence on the identity of single individuals and a whole community that in a far-and-away country takes shape as a people, elaborates an identity of its own, carries and extols a most conservative culture that induces the modern generations to think of the land of their return.

In my life I have three great passions: writing, cooking and Brigands. These may seem detached and unusual but a fine thread connects them which I always carried with me on this journey. I was born in a sunny area of southern Italy, Apulia.
