À propos du livre
These photographs were made in the Medicine Bow National Forest of the southeast part of Wyoming. It is so wild there and so beautiful. Consisting of three Mountain ranges: the Laramie Range (to the east), the Snowy Range ( in the center), and the Sierra Madres Range (to the west). Cold temperatures, with heavy snows, and constant high winds, characterize the harsh winters in these beautiful mountain ranges. At length the winter gives way to the spring, the sun warms the air, the snow begins to melt, and wild flowers grow, there is life abundantly. All is in order as God designed it, for the beauty of spring would not be if not for the harshness of the Winter.
In our lives no one lives happily ever after, there are hard, difficult, and hurtful times, Winters. They can be so harsh, seemingly unending, and feel so miserable. However, the suffering doesn't have to be without gain. These times can grow us, change us, give us character and humility. If not for the winter in our lives there would be no beauty of the spring. Still we lament in the suffering and sometimes become bitter when the spring finally comes, missing the beauty.
These images are for those who have endured the winters and now celebrate a spring time. And a reminder, for those who are in the midst of a harsh winter, of the beauty of life in the spring to those that endure. This real beauty comes to those who seek CHRIST in the winter and spring and praise him regardless.
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
but let patience have her perfect work,
that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
James 1:2-4
