À propos du livre
This volume covers husbandry and reproductive methods of a group of cichlid commonly grouped as 'haplochromines'. This diverse group of fish is found in tropical Africa. Many species are extinct in the wild as loss of habitat, introduced species and pollution are some of the problems facing these animals in their native waters.
Breeding methods and species profiles are included in hopes that the responsible aquarist will take an active role in cichlid survival.

À propos du créateur
Greg Steeves Dave Hansen

Greg and Dave have been avid aquarium hobbyists for many years. This publication is a compilation of articles they've written, cataloging their experiences with mouth brooding African cichlids. Many of these fish are vanishing from their natural habitats. The information presented is aimed at captive husbandry with emphasis on specialized reproduction. Geographic areas covered include Lake Victoria and surrounding waterways along with other areas of Africa where these 'haplochromines' inhabit.
