The 14 Stations of the Cross are re-told with the best examples of Christ’s abdomen chosen from Dürer’s extensive portfolio of woodcuts.



This project explores the idea of suffering and its representation|re-contextualization.



Excerpts from the author's personal journals|diaries have been used to correspond with the Roman Catholic description for each Station of the Cross.



Additional changes to the manner in which Dürer’s religious images are traditionally seen|viewed (by cropping and enlarging the Christ figure), PASSION proposes different notions for accessing spirituality.



Each torso was reproduced 5 times as digital print, then cut and layered to produce a 10” x 8” dimensional sculptural relief. These reliefs are documented in this book project for private contemplation.
