À propos du livre
In this book, every painting has its own story to tell. "Artfully Told" covers the thirty year career of Norma Auer Adams, written in a highly personal style by the artist herself. Illustrated with 76 paintings from her oeuvre, each is highlighted by stories the artist has told to people who have come to her studio to see her work. Different stories will tell why the subject for a painting was chosen, how a particular painting was created, what materials were involved and include details about what goes into making art.

Norma Jean Anderson (Norma Auer Adams)
Louisville, Colorado
After a thirty-plus year career creating paintings and works of art, Norma Jean Anderson (known professionally as Norma Auer Adams) has turned to writing. The subjects covered by this versatile artist have included stories about her paintings, memories of a beloved pet, and postcards from her father, saved from childhood that reveal how San Francisco in 1945 saw itself through its penny postcards.
