'Elevated' reveals my photographs taken aboard The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway© in Palm Springs, California which takes you to the unforgettable Mount San Jacinto State Park and Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument.
Escaping the Palm Springs Desert Floor, this was the first snowfall of the year on December 13th 2012 and was the most beautiful snow I have ever experienced. The snow fell as cottons of sparkling crystal. It was silent and peaceful in this National 'Island In The Sky'.
The Sonoran Desert Valley Station sits at 2,643 ft. and takes passengers through five biome life zones to the Alpine Forest Mountain Station at 8,516 ft. above the sea. This is the largest rotating aerial tramway in the world.
