In Daydreams & Nightscapes, a motif of horizontal strokes of paint has emerged. Some works are small and square; some are broad and vast—all connected by an urge to express space, color relationships and value contrasts. Beyond formal concerns, they are inspired by music, art, literature, travel, relationships and ultimately about making a personal statement in an abstract construct.
