À propos du créateur
David was born in Inverness. He spent his youth in Balintore, Easter Ross, before moving to Glasgow in 2012. His work is rooted in the rural living of his home and explores themes of heritage, nostalgia, spirituality, mental health and our relationship to the land and each other. He has published four pamphlets of poetry: Ribbons and Rust, Black Box, Scenes from a God Movie and Star Muck Bourach. The latter was later recorded as an album, with the musician/songwriter Phillip Jon Taylor. He was the winner of the 10th Ó Bhéal Five Words International Poetry Competition for his poem 'Lighthouse / Mother', was awarded joint first place in the 2022 Neil Gunn Writing Competition, and has been shortlisted for both a New Writers Award and the Edwin Morgan Award. He was a mentee of the 2018/19 Clydebuilt poetry scheme and holds a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow. He lives in Glasgow, where he works as a screen printer.
