Ana is a Toronto based artist,writer and illustrator who has been honing away at her crafts for over 15 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from OCAD University in 2006, and has since exhibited her abstract paintings both locally and internationally with numerous shows in the works. The inspiration for Isabel and her Magic Coat came from her own childhood when she first encountered a 'real' magician at a birthday party when she was only 5 years old. Not much has changed since. While not a practitioner of 'real' magic, she is taken by everything magical and mercurial, and she does believe in serendipity. She has written three books in the Isabel and her Magic Coat series.
