À propos du livre
abstract architecture, examines the vast built-world around us from a slightly different perspective. As a photographic observer, I am not content with simply taking postcard photographs of beautiful buildings. I personally find photography more challenging and rewarding by translating the ordinary or the smallest overlooked detail into intriguing artistic abstract forms. My images are bold, graphic and colorful, often fill the entire frame, void of distracting backgrounds, even clouds. The photographs celebrate architectural geometry, repetition of form, texture and the contrast of light and shadow.
My nearly 40 year career in the architectural profession has been a major influence and inspiration in my photography. The advent of digital cameras has turned a once casual photography interest into a passion.
abstract architecture, a collection of sixty of my favorite architectural images is my first book endeavor, with several more projects in the planning stages.
