When Vanessa first met Alik she did not perceive the unnatural attraction towards him as love at first. It wasn't right to feel this way towards a person she had just met she told herself. Talking with Alik only deepened her bewilderment. Vanessa finds herself thinking more and more about Alik and not only who he is but what he is. Finding herself more and more in Alik's company, she can not understand why she feels the way she does. It is this that will place both Vanessa and Alik at risk or bring them together when it all becomes too much.
