The year 2008 was a wonderful year for us - we went to California twice and all three of my children visited us in Missouri during the year. In addition to that, Ed and I took a marvelous road trip and covered several states, including Colorado, Wyoming (The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone), Montana, and South Dakota (Mt. Rushmore). The road trip warranted a book by itself - called "Journey of Discovery". There is also a book devoted to the visit to Missouri by my daughter and her family - but that one is more personal and won't be made public.



The two trips to California are the focus of this photo-journal. Attending the wedding of my granddaughter in June was the purpose of the first trip - and the Christmas Holidays was the purpose for the second trip. While the book covers those two trips in depth (photographically, anyway), the visits by my kids and the road trip are also briefly covered.



Far and away, this is my favorite book and I'm thinking I might do one each year - though 2008 will be a tough year to beat!
