À propos du créateur
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Alberto discovered his passion for the ocean at an early age. From bodysurfing on his dad’s back to competing as a surfer, and later working a commercial diver, he knew the ocean was where he belonged. Photography also helped define who Alberto wanted to be. From a young age he collected images from surfing, diving and adventure magazines. Arriving in Australia in 1987, the gifted free-surfer and developing image maker settled in Adelaide where he started to pursue a career in photography. For many years Alberto studied, worked and breathed photography. Through a camera lens, Alberto harnesses the energy of waves to capture the wild beauty of the ocean. His work is a vivid exploration of the relationship between humans and the sea. "I think my photography is the result of my life experiences. My projects are on cultures, people and the ocean."
