Terra Design Studios has partnered with Dar Hosta to present a team proposal for the Children's Garden at the Penn State Arboretum. This conceptual storyline represents Hosta's role as Literary Artist & Storyline Creator for the proposed Children's Garden. The theme of the storyline is that of the garden as lifelong friend. As a university project, the Children's Garden will be a learning environment and a place to promote environmentalism and Earth stewardship.

Dar is a painter of trees and circles, a writer and illustrator of children's picture books, a designer, a teacher of both children and adults, a speaker on creativity and education and a creativity coach. The books here on Blurb represent her work as a certified educator and visiting author and illustrator. During artist-in-residence programs, children work with her to write and illustrate collaborative picture books in the style of her books.
