À propos du livre
A tour of roadside attractions, vanished America, and family life on the road in the middle years of the 20th century. Based on the photo collections of the Reed and Lembo families, it covers popular roadside attractions such as Cypress Gardens, Parrot Jungle and life on the road before freeways, fast food and franchise motels became common. This is a work on process. The organization of the book and the photos are almost complete but little has been written.

À propos du créateur
Leon Reed
Gettsburg, PA
I worked for 30 years as a defense consultant and military historian before taking early retirement and becoming a high school history and ESOL teacher. I then retired from that job in 2015 and moved to Gettysburg, where I write and take photographs for the "Civil War News" and volunteer at the national park. I started traveling to historic sites with my parents when I was 3 and I've been taking photos of my travels since I was 8 years old. I've been a part-time freelance photographer (mainly sports) for 20 years and coached soccer teams for 20 years.
