À propos du livre
In the 1920s, Hester Ann Bolin Harvey wrote a short memoir of her life, "Things that I remember," recounting her remarkable journey walking the Oregon Trail as a five year old under the eye of a sadistic uncle, and later her hardscrabble life as a pioneer woman. Her granddaughter, Sybil Plumlee, updated the story with her own memoirs and research, and added many remarkable archival family photos, for a rich volume revealing a personal glimpse into a fascinating historical period.
