Neve Tsedek is the oldest neighborhood in Tel-Aviv - actually 22 years older than the city itself (don't ask). In the 1960s it was destined for demolition for the sake of building a bunch of luxurious skyscrapers, but at the last moment it was saved for preservation and renovation. While some of the buildings remain the same as one hundred years ago, the neighborhood as a whole is changing on a daily basis, and every tour reveals something new.



This book is a snapshot of some of the doors of Neve Tsedek on one afternoon in May 2009, in an attempt to reflect, in a consistent and somewhat sterile manner, the way it looked on that particular day.
